Building Different Vertebrate Brains

Development and evolution are the 2 major forces producing differences in vertebrate brains. This talk will address 2 areas. One part will examine similarities and differences in forebrain organization among adult reptiles, birds and mammals. The other will focus on early brain development of classic brain divisions to highlight where and when evolution can take place to produce different adult vertebrate brains.
